What happens on a call
When the call ends, a ticket is raised from the caller — matched by phone number, or added as a new requester — with the call summary and conversation as the ticket description. Calls the receptionist judged urgent are raised at a higher priority. It runs after the call and each call becomes exactly one ticket.
Setting it up
- 1In your dashboard open Apps & Connections → Zendesk and type your subdomain (the “acme” in acme.zendesk.com).
- 2Sign in with Zendesk as an admin and approve — or ask us to connect it for you.
- 3Press “Send a test call”: a ticket from “Test Caller (Silux Voice)” appears.
Built to the vendor’s published API. Connect & test checks it works with your own account before any caller relies on it.
Good to know
- Zendesk only lets vendors connect by sign-in (OAuth), not API tokens — so there is no key to paste.
- Tickets arrive through the API channel, not Zendesk Talk.
If something goes wrong
A connection never breaks a call: Zendesk is written to after the call has ended, in the background. If Zendesk can’t be reached, the call is still in your dashboard and your usual email or text summary, and the failure is shown on the Zendesk card in Apps & Connections. Keys and sign-ins you give us are encrypted and never shown back.
