First-time setup

Live in under ten minutes.

Paste your web address, check what we found, try it in the browser, forward your phone. That is the whole thing. If you would rather have company while you do it, book a free session at the bottom — thirty minutes, no charge, no sales pitch.

Before you start, you need one thing

Your website address. That is it.

You do not need a new phone number, a new provider, or to give up your existing line.

The five steps

1

Paste your web address

about 2 seconds

That is the whole first step. We read your public website and pull out your name, hours, services, prices, address, service area and FAQs.

  • ·Measured on real sites at 0.8–2.0 seconds
  • ·You can drop the https:// — just mybusiness.co.uk is fine
  • ·Nothing is guessed: if your site does not state a price, the receptionist will not invent one
2

Check what we found

2–3 minutes

Everything we extracted is shown in plain English with where it came from. Fix anything wrong, add anything missing.

  • ·Prices it is allowed to quote — leave blank anything you would rather it never say
  • ·Opening hours, including bank holidays if they matter
  • ·What counts as an emergency and should ring your mobile
  • ·Where messages go: email, SMS, or both
3

Talk to it before anyone else does

2 minutes

Try it in the browser — no phone number needed. Ask it the awkward questions and check it says "let me take a message" when it does not know.

  • ·"How much to come out?"
  • ·"Can you come today?"
  • ·"Do you cover Preston?"
  • ·Then change the greeting and name until it sounds like you
4

Point your calls at it

about 2 minutes

Call forwarding is the usual choice: forward everything, or only when you are busy, unanswered or closed. You keep your number, your provider and your line.

  • ·Or take a new Silux Voice number and leave your line untouched
  • ·Or port your existing number to us
  • ·Or add it as an overflow extension on your phone system
5

Go live and ring yourself

1 minute

Flip the switch and call your own number. The readiness checklist tells you honestly what is still missing and what it will not be able to answer yet.

The five-minute checklist

Website scanned
Prices checked, or deliberately left blank
Opening hours right
Emergency words set
Messages going where you want them
Greeting sounds like your business
Tried it in the browser
Call forwarding set up
Rung your own number
Switched live

What happens afterwards, without you doing anything

It remembers your customers

From the second call onward a regular is greeted by name and never asked for their address again. On by default, off in one click.

It will not invent a price

Every price, time, day and duration it says is checked against what you gave it before it is spoken.

It cannot promise what you never offered

Guarantees, insurance cover and "we’re the cheapest" are blocked unless you have published them.

Nothing agreed gets dropped

If it says someone is booked in and no booking exists, the call is flagged and you are told while there is still time.

Its gaps become a list

Anything it had to defer on lands in your review queue, so you answer it once and it is grounded from then on.

Questions people ask

How long does setup actually take?

Most businesses are answering real calls in under ten minutes. The website scan itself takes 0.8–2.0 seconds; the rest is you checking prices and setting up call forwarding.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. The usual setup forwards your existing number to the AI, so you keep your number, your provider and your line. You can also take a new number, port your existing one, or add it as an extension on a phone system.

What if my website does not have my prices on it?

Then the receptionist will not quote a price — it takes a message instead. You can add prices in the dashboard in about a minute, and it will quote them exactly from then on.

Is the training really free?

Yes. Thirty minutes, no charge, and no sales pitch. We go through your setup with you and stay on the line while you make a test call.

Can I change things after going live?

Any time, and changes take effect on the next call. Nothing needs a support ticket.
