Keep your 01492 number
Nothing to port. Set your existing 01492 line to forward to your Silux Voice number — every call, or only when you’re busy or don’t pick up — and callers in Llandudno keep dialling the number on your van, sign or website. Prefer a fresh number? Silux Call, our phone service, allocates one for you.
The copper switch-off and your 01492 line
BT and Openreach are retiring the old copper phone network (PSTN), moving UK landlines to digital, with the switch-off due to complete by January 2027. If your Llandudno business still has a traditional landline or ISDN, you will need to move — and it is a good moment to put a receptionist on the number at the same time. You keep your 01492 number either way.
What the switch-off means for your business →Holidays: Wales follows the same bank holidays as England. Set your own closures and it tells callers you’re shut rather than booking them in.
