Nothing to port. Set your existing 028 38 line to forward to your Silux Voice number — every call, or only when you’re busy or don’t pick up — and callers in Portadown keep dialling the number on your van, sign or website. Prefer a fresh number? Silux Call, our phone service, allocates one for you.

The copper switch-off and your 028 38 line
BT and Openreach are retiring the old copper phone network (PSTN), moving UK landlines to digital, with the switch-off due to complete by January 2027. If your Portadown business still has a traditional landline or ISDN, you will need to move — and it is a good moment to put a receptionist on the number at the same time. You keep your 028 number either way.
What the switch-off means for your business →Holidays: Northern Ireland adds St Patrick’s Day (17 March) and the Battle of the Boyne holiday (12 July) to the UK bank holidays. Set your own closures and it tells callers you’re shut rather than booking them in.
