What happens on a call

When the call ends, the caller is matched in your CRM by phone number (or email), or added as a new contact, and a note is written against them: who called, when, what they wanted, what was agreed, and the conversation itself. It happens in the background after the call, never while the caller is waiting, and each call is written once — even if the phone line reports it twice. You can press “Send a test call” in Apps & Connections to see exactly what lands.

Setting it up

  1. 1In HubSpot, create a private app under Development → Legacy apps with the contacts read and write scopes, and copy its access token.
  2. 2In your dashboard open Apps & Connections → HubSpot and paste the private app token.
  3. 3Press “Send a test call”: a contact called “Test Caller (Silux Voice)” appears with a note. Delete it — real calls now land the same way.

Built to the vendor’s published API. Connect & test checks it works with your own account before any caller relies on it.

Good to know

  • Calls are logged as notes on the contact’s timeline. Optionally a deal is opened for each new caller, in the pipeline stage you choose.
  • A caller who withholds their number and gives no name isn’t filed — there is nothing to file them under.

If something goes wrong

A connection never breaks a call: HubSpot is written to after the call has ended, in the background. If HubSpot can’t be reached, the call is still in your dashboard and your usual email or text summary, and the failure is shown on the HubSpot card in Apps & Connections. Keys and sign-ins you give us are encrypted and never shown back.
